A younger sister hull to several of the fleet's frontline cruisers, Bright Lance has spent most of her commission on rapid-response tasking, first to arrive and often first to engage when a situation escalates quickly.
Her crew have adopted "first light" as an unofficial motto, a nod to both her name and her habit of being the first hull on station.
