Debrief
The UFN Vanguard proceeded to meet the local UMBRA representatives and learned that they needed help retrieving crucial supplies from a pirate fleet who recently took control of 3 cargo ships on route to a supply station.
The crew followed the only lead at the time - a Ghost station manned by a pirate called "Grifter" - who seemed interested in self preservation and greed over the Ghosts' interests.
Grifter cooperated through negotiation (and the destruction of all their peers in the stations defence fleet and provided the convoy’s exact location, enabling controlled interception. He also installed the Cargo Transfer Protocol onto Relay systems; the terms of the agreement reached are sealed by Intelligence.
With the new Ghost tracking and transfer technology installed on Relay, the crew continued on for the convoy
Along the way, the crew made contact with a local ITG defence group and learned that they also had some warp technology stolen recently. They suspected UMBRA. Captain Blue initially caused some ruckus by siding with UMBRA orders to not scan any stolen cargo but this was resolved when FC Smarty confirmed that the UFN would support any action to uncover theft from our allies.
On arrival at the last known convoy position, the crew began the search for each hauler, needing to maintain close contact while under fire to enable the Ghost Transfer Protocol to take effect.
Hauler 1 was delivered to ITG DEFENSE with manifest-confirmed mixed cargo: food, medicine, and weapons stock. ITG quartermasters logged immediate intake and staged redistribution. This was to apologise for the earlier diplomatic blimp
Hauler 2 was delivered to ITG DEFENSE carrying stolen ITG warp-drive technology. ITG command confirmed direct repatriation of stolen assets and initiated engineering reintegration.
Hauler 3 was delivered to UFN FORWARD 1 carrying a stolen UFN cloaking device package marked highly confidential. Forward command moved it directly into secure counterintelligence containment.
On discovery of stolen technology aboard the UMBRA cargo haulers, a full scale attack on the UMBRA Regional base was authorised - this was due to the sensitive nature of the technology stolen. The crew dispatched of UMBRA and the base - securing the technology from further corruption
