Debrief

UFN Vanguard was assigned to transport a classified consignment to a designated UFNI contact. The assignment took an unexpected turn when a Ghost vessel intercepted the ship, disabled its propulsion systems and forcibly removed the secure cargo before departing.

With the original delivery abandoned, Flight Control instructed the crew to recover the stolen shipment. With limited conventional armaments available, they would need to make effective use of their experimental directional beam weapon while sourcing additional equipment and supplies along the way.

Their investigation led them to Kestrel, where they assisted in defending the station against a Ghost attack. In gratitude, Kestrel provided valuable supplies and directed the crew towards the Interstellar Trade Guild, whose assistance would prove useful in the search for the missing cargo.

The Guild offered two bounty contracts, both providing opportunities to gather resources and strengthen the cargo locator's tracking signal.

Firstly, the choice was made to respond to an ITG fuel freighter under attack by Ghost raiders. The crew engaged the hostile vessels, securing the freighter and completing the Guild's recovery contract.

The encounters also provided opportunities to improve the ship's combat readiness through the acquisition and exchange of supplies.

In recognition of their assistance, the ITG freighter provided valuable cargo components that could be exchanged for additional supplies or permanent upgrades.

Across the operation, the crew balanced their investment between permanent upgrades and additional ordnance, combining improved ship performance with greater tactical flexibility.

With the locator's tracking signal finally complete, the crew identified GST Hijack as the vessel responsible for the theft and moved to intercept it.

The crew successfully intercepted GST Hijack and recovered the stolen consignment, returning it to secure storage. Despite the initial hijacking and limited conventional armaments, the crew demonstrated resourcefulness in securing supplies, assisting independent traders and overcoming Ghost opposition.

With the classified materials secured and hostile operations in the sector disrupted, Flight Control confirmed the successful conclusion of Operation Special Delivery.
